Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
There are times in our lives that parallel the roller coaster. The beginning of the ride is slowly and deliberately ascending upward, only to find that once you reach the top you are looking down from the top into the drop. A seemingly endless abyss that leaves your stomach in your throat.
Always know that the Lord Jesus is with you as you may begin to plummet. Though you may not have control over the ride, Jesus will hold your hand tightly and will ride it with you.
This season may be one where you are on a peaceful ascent on a bright sunny day, or you may be looking down at the drop. Wherever you are on life's roller coaster, know that Jesus is in that seat beside you. You are not riding alone.
So we should not fear. We should offer thanks to the Lord our God who walks with us on the mountain and in the valley, in the darkness and in the light.
