Smoky Hill Baptist Church UPDATES - May 2020 #2
Hello Church Family!
We pray that you are all doing well. We are happy to announce that we will be holding one service this Sunday at our original 10:30 a.m. time. Many of you have been asking to return to one service. We have also noticed over the last several weeks that we could safely double the size of the attendees while maintaining social distancing requirements.
For now, in order to help comply with requirements, we will have ushers assisting with seating and dismissing of the congregation. We know that many of you have your favorite spots and we hope that you will be able to return to them soon; however, we ask that you comply with the ushers’ instructions while we work to keep all of our congregation safe. We also ask that attendees continue to resist the urge to fellowship before and after service.
If you do not feel comfortable attending service, we support your decision and we will record the sermon as usual and make it available to you by Monday morning, the latest.

We are still not holding Sunday School at this time. We are discussing when we might be able to open Sunday School again and hope to have answers as to what this will look like in the next few weeks.
We continue to monitor the ever-evolving situation with COVID-19 recommendations and mandates. We will continue to send weekly emails to you so that you may stay informed of any changes we need to make in services or precautions.
Our revised precautions, outlined below, are in effect. These are the minimum precautions we are taking and will be adjusted as necessary:
If you are currently sick, have been sick in the last two to three weeks or have been around anyone who is sick, please do not come to church.
If you are compromised and/or do not feel comfortable in public, please stay at home and be safe. You may view the sermon at the link above.
If attending service, you must wear a mask. (Note that speakers will be unmasked while speaking but will remain at least six feet from anyone).
Attendees may sit with their family or “group” but these groups must remain at least six feet from other attendees or groups.
The aisles have been widened to allow for proper distancing.
Attendees are asked to stay at least six feet from each other at all times.
Attendees will be guided to appropriate seats based on the size of their group and available seating.
Attendees will be released by ushers after service.
Attendees are asked to resist the urge to socialize before or after service.
You may drop your offerings and prayer requests in the designated collection box.
Thank You and God Bless!
