Smoky Hill Baptist Church UPDATES - May 2020: REJOICE!
Updated: May 28
Hello Church Family and Friends!
We hope that this finds you safe and healthy. First, we want to thank all of you who participated in our voting process. Next, we have exciting news: The PSC is happy to announce that Pastor Dan Dilley is our new Pastor! We hope that you will rejoice in this and help us welcome him into our family. To help do this, we will be holding two services each Sunday on 5/17/2020 and 5/24/2020.
These services will be open to everyone, not just members. There are changes to our service times and group breakdowns outlined below.
For the service on 5/17/2020, the first service will be held at 10:00am and those whose last name begins in “I” through “Z” are invited to attend this service.
The second service on 5/17/2020 will be held at 11:30am and those whose last name begins with “A” through “H” are invited to attend this service.
For the service on 5/24/2020, the groups will flip-flop.
The first service on 5/24/2020 will be held at 10:00am and those whose last name begins with “A” through “H” are invited to attend this service.
The second service on 5/24/2020 will be held at 11:30am and those whose last name begins with “I” through “Z” are invited to attend this service.
As usual, the sermon will be recorded and available here:

Please note that Sunday School will not be held in May. We will provide you with as much advanced notice as possible as to when it will begin again. All our precautions, outlined below, are still in effect. These are the minimum precautions we are taking and will be adjusted as necessary:
If you are currently sick, have been sick in the last two to three weeks or have been around anyone who is sick, please do not come to church.
If you are compromised and do not feel comfortable in public, please stay at home and be safe. You may view the sermon at the links above.
If attending service, you must wear a mask. (Note that speakers will be unmasked while speaking but will remain at least six feet from anyone)
We are holding multiple services to allow for proper social distancing.
The aisles have been widened to allow for proper distancing.
Attendees are asked to stay at least six feet from each other at all times.
Attendees will enter through the front door and exit through the side doors.
If you are in the first service and use a pew Bible or Hymnal, you are asked to leave it on your seat when you leave so that they are not reused and can be collected between services.
Seats will be sanitized using a sanitizing solution between services.
Attendees will be released by section after service.
Attendees are asked to resist the urge to socialize before or after service.
You may drop your offerings and prayer requests in the designated collection box.
Thank You and God Bless!
